George Ralph Samuels was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away suddenly on the 30th September 2025 in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts.
George Ralph Samuels was born on the 14th February,1953 in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. to Theodore (Teddy) Sylvester and Erna Mae Samuels. He became a citizen of the United States in June 1982.
George was a kind, hardworking, industrious and very loving man, who was employed in a number of places but his longest place of employment was Agrimark/Cabot in West Springfield, MA. He was employed there from January 1993 until August 2014 from which he retired in August 2015 due to health issues.
George touched many lives and was a very well-respected gentleman, by those he knew and worked.
He was predeceased by his parents Theodore (Teddy)Sylvester Samuels and Erna Mae Samuels, brother Ted, sisters, Joy, Michele, Elaine and Monica.
He is survived by his loving wife Monica, who cared for him until his passing. His only son George, stepsons Edward Manderson, Jr. and Ethan Manderson, grandsons, great-grandchildren, siblings Lenworth Samuels, Christopher Samuels, Elva Tannian, Joan Fraser and Charmaine Harris, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
George will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and generosity. He was very artistic and was well known for as a skilled craftsman who specialized in mechanics and his customized painting of automobiles. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many. He loved and owned many classic cars.
His hobbies were the collection of classic cars, playing cards and dominoes and he also loved playing the casino slots.
George will be greatly missed for his many unique characteristics, sayings and the way he portrayed himself. He was a real gentleman in every way.
He will never be forgotten and will be loved forever.
George passed away peaceably, and he is now at rest, safely in the arms of Jesus.
