James Baginski Obituary

James Edwin Baginski, 58, passed away on June 12, 2020. He was born in Westfield to the late Edwin and Theresa (Conlon) Baginski. Jamie, Jimbo, or Jim Bags, as he was known to family and friends, worked as a groundskeeper for Shaker Farms Country Club and other area golf courses for the past 20 years. He previously worked for Dui Pile, and Service Star warehouses for many years. Jamie was a big NASCAR fan, an avid reader and liked taking long walks around Westfield. He was also a huge Jazz fan, and the Newport Jazz Festival. He volunteered at the Westfield Food Pantry and was a long time member of the Forum House. Jamie is survived by his siblings, Gayle Begley and her husband Connie of Springfield, Alex P. Baginski and his wife Joanne of Blandford, Joanne Hunter and her late husband Tim of Lawrenceville, GA and Thomas Baginski and his wife Allison of Charlotte, VT, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held for James on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 10AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield, followed by Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield.
