James Edward Duperault, 61, a resident of Westfield Ma for over 40 years passed away after a valiant fight with stomach cancer. He passed away peacefully with his wife Debbie Duperault of 29 years by his side in their home on May 31st 2020 in Westfield Ma. James served 20 years as a Correctional Officer at Carl Robinson in Enfield Connecticut and was a Police Officer for 32 years at The Westfield Police Department. He enjoyed and took pride in his calling to help others and serve our city. He loved metal detecting and was an avid Packard lover. James was an amazingly devoted husband, father, and grandfather. If he was not driving in his 1942 Packard Convertible or metal detecting, he was spending time with his family, grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. James is survived by; his mother Helen Herbele, his brothers; Scott and Donald Duperault, his wife Debbie Duperault (Munsell), his children; Brittany Cortis, Ashley Duperault, Candice Smith and Jonathan Shepard, and his five grandchildren Alison Cortis, Chase Cortis, Elysium Pacheco, Clayton Smith and Brianna Smith. James will be greatly missed by anyone who had the honor to know him. All of his services will be private.
