James N. Fiddler, 77, passed away on Sunday, June 30th at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was born in Fall River, MA to the late Olive (Rock) Fiddler and Norman Fiddler. He lived in Woronoco, MA for 25 years with his beloved partner, Rosemary Schmidt, before they moved to Southwick, MA where they lived together for another 21 years up until his passing. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of Vietnam. Together, they started T&M Automotive, where they became known for their custom exhaust work and served the community with auto repairs for many years. He leaves their son, Jason S. Fiddler and his wife Tara Fiddler. He leaves his two children from a previous marriage, Wendi Mello and James Fiddler, Jr. Additionally, he leaves seven grandchildren. Walker James Fiddler and Hunter James Fiddler (pre-deceased, 2018) from Jason Fiddler and Tara Fiddler. Courtney Dumphy, Corey Fiddler, and Jeremy Fiddler from James Fiddler, Jr., and Madison Mello and Alex Mello from Wendi Mello. Additionally, he leaves his brother-in-law and sister-in-laws John and Susan Allen and Linda Rosario along with his daughter-in-law Deb Fiddler. Lastly, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews. His passion, outside of being crazy Papa to Walker every week, was his 1931 Ford Model A that he built from the frame up with the help of many friends. He and Rose traveled to countless car shows where his Model A won trophy after trophy which he still humbly talked about up until his passing. We thank everyone for the overwhelming support during these tough times. A graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 12th at 10 am in Russell Cemetery.
