Jeffery A. Leigh, 56, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Baystate Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Northampton, MA to Sylvia (DeGowin) and the late George Leigh, Sr. He was a 1983 graduate of Smith Vocational graduating with the trade of drafting. Jeff was an aircraft technician at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield for 28 years, retiring in 2013. Initially Jeffery joined the Air Force National Guard but following September 2011 he enlisted full time. He enjoyed carpentry, working in the yard, golf, playing guitar, darts, cooking, grilling and barbecuing. Although he mostly enjoyed spending time with his children and family. Jeff played his guitar often and actually was in a band during his high school years. His favorite music was classic rock, but his favorite bands included Van Halen, Dave Matthews Band and Rush. Jeffery's favorite holidays were Christmas and Fourth of July, with his favorite movie being National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (he could just about recite every word). He collected Santa figurines and always put present bows on his Santa hat during family Christmas's. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacquelyn (Deuna) Leigh, his loving children, Justin D. Leigh and his wife Cassie of Chester, Felicia M. Crowley and her husband Matthew of Westfield and Sage E. Leigh of Southampton, and his cherished grandson Easton Crowley. Jeff also leaves his siblings, Brenda and her husband Paul, Donna, George Jr., Jennifer and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 930AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam.
