Joyce G. (L'Esperance) L'Esperance

Joyce G. L’Esperance, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke. She was born in Springfield, MA on July 18, 1943 to the late Walter E. and Helen (Murphy) L’Esperance and was a 1961 graduate of West Springfield High School. She retired in 2009 from Blake Equipment, where she was a trusted assistant to the owner. She served as a member of the West Springfield Town Meeting and was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Youth Organization. She also volunteered at Brightside and was a member of the Westfield Women’s Club. Joyce enjoyed traveling five continents and enjoyed spending time with friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert and a nephew David L’Esperance. Joyce is survived by her nieces, Jeanne Prest and her husband Matthew and Joanne Gunstream and her husband Hagen, her nephew James L’Esperance and his wife Amy, great nephews Scott Caspe, Connor Hebda and Caleb Prest, great niece Nora Prest and special friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10:30AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Pine St. West Springfield followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Highway, West Springfield. Visiting hours will precede the Mass from 9-10AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA.
