Judith A. Neylon (Seat) of Agawam, passed away in her home on August 14, 2023. Judi grew up in Springfield and East Longmeadow. She was a lifelong active member of Old First Church in Springfield until it closed and took great pride in her Polish and Southern heritage. While she attended Classical High School, she was a Rainbow Girl and a Girl Scout. After graduation she attended American International College and started her life’s career at Associated Typographers of Springfield, a family business owned by her parents. She met and married Jack Clifford who also worked there. She remained involved in the Masonic Organizations Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile throughout her life and served as Grand Worthy Matron of both organizations on several occasions. She was a supporter of the Shriner’s Hospital in Springfield. Judi was also married to William B. Hazen, with whom she lived in East Longmeadow, where her children grew up. Later, she worked at Showcase Cinemas in West Springfield where she became a movie aficionado and met her husband, Michael Neylon. She continued to work there after retiring from Associated Typographers and worked at Costco until recently. She genuinely enjoyed working in retail and service jobs, and interfacing with customers. She was an avid fan of and volunteered at the “Big E” each year. Judi was predeceased by her parents, Samuel G. Seat and Sally A. Seat of East Longmeadow. She leaves her sister Joyce (Seat) Todd of Newtonville, her beloved children, Stuart J. Clifford and his wife Peg Ryan of Sarasota, FL, Pamela (Clifford) Kappel and her husband Robert Murphy of Westfield, and grandchildren Hannah Kappel of Westfield and Noah Kappel of Quincy, and great grandson Bodin Kappel, as well as nieces Amy Todd, Lydia Todd, and their children. Visitation at Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield is from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023; with a service at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Longmeadow Cemetery, Williams St. Longmeadow.
