Westfield-Katherine T. (Radford) Schwaber, 99, died Monday, February 10, 2020 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on August 6, 1920 to the late George W. and Julia T. (Moran) Radford. She attended school in Leominster. She worked as a seamstress in a tailor shop in Fitchburg. She was the first lady barber at Gills Barber Shop in Westfield. She also worked for Grants Dept. Store in Westfield. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Wings Group. She enjoyed spending her free time sewing and Crotcheting. She was pre-deceased by her husband William T. Schwaber in 1975. She leaves her son Robert W. Schwaber and his wife Jackie of Westfield, her daughter Deborah J. Ciapiela and her husband Michael of Westfield, her grandchildren Chris, Tim and Billy Schwaber, Jenn Phelon and Christina Ciepiela, and one great-granddaughter Jillian Phelon. She was pre-deceased by her son Stephen M. Schwaber and her siblings William, George and Donald Radford, Mary Buono and Theresa Toner. The funeral and burial will be private.
