Kathleen M Hagan

Kathleen M. Hagan passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020, with her loving children by her side. Born in Westfield July 29, 1928 daughter of James and Catherine (Claire) O’Rourke she was a lifelong Westfield resident. After graduating from Bay Path Secretarial School she was employed by New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and later by Stanley Home Products. She was also a teacher’s aide in the Westfield Public Schools for 17 years. She was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary’s Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Hagan, her daughter, Sheila Meyer, her grandson, Christian Meyer and her brother and sister-in-law James and Jeanne O’Rourke. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hagan, of Apex, NC, and her son and his wife, James and Kristin Hagan of Westfield and her son-in-law, Douglas Meyer of Newton, MA. She leaves eight cherished grandchildren. Stephanie and Cameron Meyer of Newton, MA, Declan Healey of Denver, Colorado, Claire Hazen of Chapel Hill, NC, Ciara and Ashlyn Healey of Apex, NC and Mairead and James Hagan, Jr. of Westfield, MA. She also leaves a nephew and several nieces, including Judith Zimmerman and devoted caregiver, Charlene O’Rourke. The family would like to thank the Baystate Visiting Nurses Association and staff at Baystate Noble on Two North for the compassionate care she received.
