Kenneth M. Bein, Sr.

Kenneth M. Bein, Sr., 87, passed away at home on Monday, September 16, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Westfield, one of seven children of Gustave and Mabel (Nesbit) Bein and attended Westfield Trade School. Ken worked for O’Connor Lumber for many years until their closing, he then went to work for the Railroad Distribution Services. He was a member of the Westfield Sportsman’s Club and was a lifelong hunter and fisherman and enjoyed yearly trips to Hampton Beach with his wife, Sandy. He also enjoyed watching football especially his beloved New England Patriots. He was predeceased by his wife Sandra J. (Engell) Bein in 2017 and his six siblings, Shirley, Richard, Eleanor, David, Ronald, and Wilma. He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth M. Bein, Jr and his wife Connie of Russell, Thomas E. Bein with Stella Lagudis of Long Island, NY and Alyson M. Bein with Thomas Goewey of Westfield, his five grandchildren, Michael, Aimee and her wife Shannon, Shauna, Mark and Colton and three great grandchildren, Skylar, Brycen and Max. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11AM in Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield.
