Kenneth Premny

Kenneth J. Premny, age 71, of Westfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 6th, 2026.

Kenneth was born in Westfield, Massachusetts, on December 29th, 1954, the beloved son of Joseph H. and Rose M. Premny. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1972, marking the beginning of a life devoted to his community and loved ones.

Kenneth dedicated 30 years of his career to Waste Management, earning the respect and friendship of his colleagues. He was also a proud life member of the Westfield Elks for 46 years. During this time, he was honored to serve twice as Exalted Ruler and spent 25 years as a trustee, reflecting his commitment to service and leadership within the organization.

Kenneth is survived by his stepson, Christopher M. Sullivan, and his wife, Jennifer; his stepdaughter, Lisa M. Johnson, and her husband, Jeffrey. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Conor M. Sullivan and Alex Johnson. Kenneth was predeceased by his loving wife, Sandra E. Collins.

Remembered for his generosity and unwavering devotion to his friends and family, Kenneth was a well-known and respected figure in his community. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and treasured the relationships he built with his Elks and Waste Management families, with whom he spent much of his life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the support and kindness shown by friends and loved ones during the difficult times following the recent loss of Kenneth’s beloved wife.

The funeral service for Kenneth will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 11:30 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, located at 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
