Lawrence R. Cellilli, 81, passed away on Sunday, 27, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Ludlow, MA to the late Thomas H. and Anna (Mastralerz) Cellilli and was a 1961 graduate of Ludlow High School. Larry was also a graduate of Holyoke Junior College and then he received a Bachelor’s Degree from American International College in accounting. He was employed as an auditor for Department of Defense contract and in March 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army. He attained the rank of SP5 and was honorably discharged in March of 1970, receiving the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Returning home, Larry went back to work auditing government contracts for Hamilton Standard and retired after many years from Alston Power. Larry loved camping and was a member of the NAFCA, PV Chapter 8, and FMCA Chapters. He was an avid sports fan cheering for his New York Yankees, Boston Celtic and New York Giants. He enjoyed helping people do their taxes at the Westfield Senior Center for many years. Sadly Larry was predeceased by a son Matthew A. Cellilli in 2010 and is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Diane M. (Mosher) Cellilli of Westfield, his two sons, Gregory C. Cellilli and his wife Stefanie and Darren A. Cellilli and his wife Lori, all of Westfield, his brothers Thomas H. Cellilli, Jr. and his wife Philomena of New Jersey and Gerald R. Cellilli and his wife Guillemaria of California, many nieces, nephews and cousins, his four god children and many special friends. His family would like to extend a special thanks to Gabby and the staff at Baystate Hospice for the care and support given to Larry and his family. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 11AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA followed by burial with Military Honors in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 1-3PM in the funeral home.
