Leandre Latulippe Obituary

Leandre Latulippe, 82, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Leandre was born on October 31, 1942 in St-Raphael de Bellechasse, Quebec, Canada to the late Adelard and Yvonne (Picard) Latulippe.

Leandre was a devoted father to his daughter Chantal Gilbert and husband Douglas Gilbert, daughter Natalie DeCarlo and husband Angelo DeCarlo, and son Yvan Latulippe and wife Carrie Latulippe. He was married to Lise Latulippe (Godbout) for many years and the two remained friends throughout their lives. He adored his grandchildren Corin Mae, Emily (Evan Anair), Ryan, Evan, Nadine, Noah, and his great-grandchildren Billie and Magnolia.

Leandre was one of eight children and leaves behind his siblings Denise Cote (Gaston), Armand Latulippe (Patricia), Fernand Latulippe (Marthe) and Ghislaine Bourgault (Gaetan). He was predeceased by Fernande Latulippe (Gaston), Therese Breton (Richard) and Jean D’Arc Arbour (Claude). Leandre’s love of family extended to all members of the Godbout family as well. He also cherished his many cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Leandre was very proud of his French Canadian roots, sharing many stories of his experiences growing up. As a young man, he set out on an adventure to the U.S. with his brother Armand. They created opportunity and literally built a wonderful life from the ground up. Together the brothers founded a successful construction business, Latulippe Brothers Construction. The homes and buildings are a lasting testament of Leandre’s passion for his work. The two brothers were best friends and raised their family’s side by side.

Leandre will be remembered by all who knew him for his kind spirit, great sense of humor, twinkling blue eyes, and boundless love. He never missed an opportunity to give a helping hand and encouragement. He proved to be a great listener and confidant. He cherished his time with his grandchildren the most. A favorite pastime he shared with them was making maple syrup. It was easy to see how he always believed in his grandchildren and saw all their special qualities. Each family member held their own special place in his heart. His smile and infectious laughter will live on forever.
