Lillian J. (Roy) Knowlton

Lillian J. Knowlton, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children and beloved cat Sweet Pea. She was born in Manchester, NH to the late Marc J Roy and Beatrice (Clermont) Roy. She attended schools in Springfield, MA and graduated from Westfield State College, Summa Cum Laude. She married Charles J. Knowlton, Jr in 1961 till his death in 1994. Lillian loved all types of dancing, including line dancing, ballroom and waltzing. She retired from Western Mass Hospital and worked there for over 20 years in the Human Resources Department. Lillian has adopted many rescue cats over the years. Her beloved Sweet Pea was by her side till the end. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had 5 children George Hervieux (Donna Newcomb) Michele Harder and Brian Knowlton. She was predeceased in death by Tim Hervieux (Natalie) and Craig Knowlton (Sandi). She leaves behind her Grandchildren: Charissa Beebee, Justin Hervieux, Daniel Harder, Chance Harder, Jake Hervieux, Toni Mattoon, Jessica Kelly, Craig Knowlton, Natasha Knowlton, Tina Bousquet, Sarah Heckman, Michael Knowlton and Jeffery Knowlton. She also leaves behind numerous Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings George, Irene and Alfred. The funeral for Lillian will be on Saturday May 31, 2025 at 11:30 AM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield.
