Linda Ann (Burns) Callahan

Linda Burns Callahan, 76, of Westfield, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Linda was born on October 1, 1948, the daughter of the late John “Chuck” Burns and Grace (Zglobicki) Burns of Springfield, MA. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Holyoke Community College. She worked for the New England Telephone Company (now Verizon) as a computer operator. She later worked for several local real estate companies while raising a family. Linda enjoyed trips to the beach, especially the Maine seashore. She also enjoyed the times spent with family and friends. Her family was her pride and joy, especially time spent with her five grandchildren that were so very special to her. Linda was predeceased by her brother Thomas Burns and is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Michael Callahan, her children Michael Callahan and wife Kara of Darien, CT, Kara Kireyczyk and husband Luke of Suffield, CT, her siblings Michael Burns and wife Margaret of Chatham, MA, Deborah Boduch of Queensbury, NY and John Burns of Chicopee, MA. Linda also leaves behind five beautiful and cherished grandchildren, Michael, Jacqueline, Ella, Alexander, and Ava. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Baystate Hospital Medical ICU for keeping her comfortable during her final days. A private ceremony for family will be held at a later date.
