Linda Y. (Yarwood) Wenzel

Along time resident of Westfield, passed away peacefully at home October 22, 2025 surrounded by family.

Linda settled in Westfield in 1980 and for the past 45 years made it her home. A woman before her time she renovated her home herself and always had an open door for both people and pets.

If you were lucky enough to know her you received the most delicious and elaborate sugar cookies, sand tarts, divinity and the holy grail her caramel turtles.  She made her own jelly and baked her own bread before it became cool again to do so.  Other hobbies included camping, fishing, trains, reading, lunch dates with the ladies and teaching those she loved.

Born in Madison Wisconsin to the late Fredrick Yarwood (Grace)and Hazel Wold (Jerry). Siblings Punkey Spink, Randy Wold (Terry), Richard Yarwood, Mary-Ellen Yarwood and predeceased by Donald Yarwood (Jan).

Linda leaves behind daughters Anne Landry (Jeff) and Laurie Martin (Ray). She was predeceased by daughter Christine Fischer and Granddaughter Monica Tobin. 

Linda's love for both her Grandchildren April (James), Raymond, Linda, Curtis (Aubrey), Joey, Kelly, Samantha and Great grandchildren Allen, Tempy, Iris, Renata, Rexton, Isabella, Olivia, John, Zoey, Day, Messy Elaina, Elyaria, Clayton, Gemma and Jackson. Linda's close friends Sharon, Sandy, Margie.

Celebration of life 11/1/25 @1pm at Life Church New England,  23 Griffin Rd, Granby CT. with reception to follow. Burial will be held privately in the future.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope for life Food Pantry Granby Ct. www.firtionadams.com
