Lois Bednarsky Obituary

Lois W. Bednarsky, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Westfield Gardens.

Born in Ware, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lotta Bell (Allen) Wehrly. Lois was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Westfield High School, Class of 1955. She was employed as an accountant for many years and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Lois enjoyed recording genealogy, traveling to Florida with her beloved husband, Carl, and spending time at their camp in Chesterfield. She found great joy in her family and treasured the time she spent with them. Known lovingly as “Nina” to her grandchildren, she held a special place in their hearts.

To cherish her memory, Lois leaves her beloved husband of 67 years, Carl F. Bednarsky of Westfield; her son, Robert Bednarsky and his wife, Lori, of Southampton; her daughter, Elizabeth Sheehan and her partner, Gary Phelps, of Suffield; her sister-in-law, Barbara Murray; her grandchildren, Robert Bednarsky Jr. and his wife, Keziah, Allison Bednarsky, Lucas Sheehan, Kelsey Nwosu and her husband, Chibueze, and Robert Sheehan; and her great-grandchildren, Naomi, Desmond, Finnley, Colin, and Nora.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Eric Bednarsky; her sister, Betsy LaPlante; her brother-in-law, Charles LaPlante; and her brother-in-law, Leonard Murray.
