Luz M. (Villanueva) Irizarry

Luz M. (Villanueva) Irizarry, 63, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Moca, Puerto Rico to the late Sotero and Lydia (Cruz) Villanueva. Luz was employed by Fresenius Kidney Care as a dialysis nurse for over 38 years. She enjoyed going camping in upstate New York, reading, shopping and watching the Boston Red Sox. Mostly, Luz enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. Luz is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Rodolfo Irizarry of Springfield, her loving children, Sylkia M. Paine and her husband Terry of Springfield, Janice Peart and her husband Desland of Chicopee and Rodolfo J. Irizarry and his wife Elizabeth of Enfield, CT, her siblings, Miguel, Carlos, Milka, Feliz and Flor of Puerto Rico and Nilda of Florida and Dalia of Georgia and her cherished four grandchildren, Lauren, Emilee, Alyssa and Rodolfo Quinton. Luz’s funeral will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St. Westfield, MA followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. A visiting hour will precede the Mass from 9-10 AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
