Margaret Hart, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2026 at the age of 83. She will be missed by family and friends. Born and raised in Westfield, Massachusetts, Margaret spent her formative years building foundations and making memories in the Pioneer Valley. In her later years, she traded the New England winters for the warmth and sunshine of Florida, where she fully embraced a relaxed, active, and sun-filled lifestyle. Margaret’s happiest moments were spent outdoors on the golf course, chasing the perfect swing, enjoying the fairway camaraderie, and soaking in the sun. Her social and community ties were equally important to her; she was a proud and active member of the Elks Club and Sons of Erin, where she made lifelong friends and contributed to the club's spirit of fellowship and charity. Margaret loved her family. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. She is survived by her two devoted sisters and her brother-in-law, Chris King and Carol and Robert Podolski; her loving son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Julie Riverin; as well as a nephew, many nieces, and cousins who will miss her deeply. She was predeceased by her Loving daughter Cindy, her parents Margaret and Wesley Bilek, her husband James Hart, her first husband Phil Riverin, and sister Mary Pomeroy. A private celebration of Margaret’s life will be held for friends and family at St Mary’s Cemetery, 203 Southampton Rd, Westfield, MA 01085 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Ascend Hospice Marlborough, MA · (866) 821-1212.
