Marilyn P. (Paradysz) Dostal

Marilyn P. (Paradysz) Dostal, 84 passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2020.  She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Edward and Jessie (Lapinski) Paradysz. “Lyn” as she was known was employed by Westfield State University for many years before retiring in 2000. Lyn was predeceased by her husband Edward, they were married for 59 years. She was also predeceased by her brother Robert Paradysz. She is survived by her loving son, Michael Dostal and his wife Deborah of Westfield, MA. Lyn also leaves many cherished friends and extended family.  Lyn and Ed spent years traveling the country in their RV and belonged to many camping organizations.  They lived in Mission, TX for 15 years, before returning to Westfield. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing letters to her friends.  Marilyn was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Westfield.  Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:30 PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Visiting hours will be from 2-4PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
