Mary E. (Twomey) Cotnoir

Mary E. (Twomey) Cotnoir, 87, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Baystate Noble Hospital. She was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Richard N. and Frances C. (Brennan) Twomey. She was employed by Cape Cod Hospital working as an admitting clerk in the emergency room for many years, she then worked as a ward clerk for the Western Mass Kidney Center and then for MassMutual Insurance as a claims analyst for 15 years, before she retired. Mary loved to travel, play board and card games several nights a week and enjoyed attending her movie club and Sons of Erin Pitch League. Mary was an avid Boston Red Sox, Washington Redskins and New England Patriots fan. She owned with her husband, American Hardware Western Auto store on Cape Cod in the 1970’s. Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis V. Cotnoir in 1997 and her three brothers, Richard, Thomas and Frank. She leave her three loving children, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Cotnoir and Kathleen Marie “Kate” Cotnoir, both of Westfield and Daniel Patrick Cotnoir and his wife Amy of Catlett, VA and her two cherished grandchildren, Alison and Jonathan “Jack”. A Funeral Mass for Mary will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield, MA 01085. Donations in Mary’s name may be directed to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
