Mona A. (Lees) Hadley Obituary
Mona A. (Lees) Hadley, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born in Westfield to the late Charles H. and Mildred, J. (Scott) Lees and was a 1967 graduate of Westfield High School and Hartford Airlines School in 1968. Mona worked as an administrative assistant for Cigna Insurance and retired after over 30 years. She enjoyed yard sales, flowers, gardening, she had the best green thumb, she could make anything grow, the beach and lighthouses, gathering shells, camping with her family each year on her birthday at East Beach in Rhode Island and the Town of Granville always had a very special place in her heart since that is where she grew up. Anyone who knew her knew that Halloween was her favorite time of the year, she loved the changing of the leaves, making leaf piles for the grandkids when they were little and putting on her witch costume that she perfected more and more each year along with the “hello my pretty”, to the trick or treaters, like she was the witch from the Wizard of Oz. The memories are infinite and we all have our special memories with her. Mostly, Mona loved being a grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the time spent together, she was always the fun grandma. Sadly, Mona was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mildred, a brother Alan Lees, and grandson Trevor Egerton. She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly A. Schultz of South Carolina, Nathan D. Egerton and his wife Jennifer of Westfield and Ethan J. Egerton and his wife Angela of North Carolina, her cherished grandchildren, Brittany Goralczyk and her husband Alex, Caitlyn Mallo and her husband Blake, Tristan Baber, Dylan Egerton, Hunter and Ryder Egerton and her great grandchildren, Mila and Alexander. She will be deeply missed by her family and her close friends who she also cared for deeply. A Funeral Home Service will be held for Mona on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11AM in Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave, Westfield. A visiting hour of 10-11:00am will precede the service at the funeral home.
