Muriel Y (Giguere) Sampson

Muriel Y Sampson, 90 passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Harvest of Aledo Memory Care in Aledo, Texas. She was born in Lewiston, Maine to the late Alcide and Aimee Giguere (Lessard). In addition to raising 5 children, Muriel drove a mail delivery truck for Westfield Post Office several years as one of their first female mail delivery drivers. She enjoyed riding on Walters’ motorcycle all over the northeast as members of the Blue Knights Riding Club. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Pahrump, Nevada and wherever their motorhome would take them. Sadly, Muriel was predeceased by her beloved Husband of 70 years and 3 children, Diane Sampson, Robert Sampson, and Thomas Sampson. She is survived by her sons, Donald Sampson currently from Fort Worth, and Walter Sampson, Jr currently from Lebanon, TN and his children Jeffrey Sampson and Angel Garcia (Sampson). She also leaves behind two grand-daughters Alyssa Sampson and Sabrina Sampson and her 3 Great grandchildren, Alivia, Taylor, and Aiden. Her funeral will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 9:30 AM  from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad Street in Westfield, followed by a liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett Street, Westfield. Visiting hours will be Thursday August 15, 2024 from 4 – 7 PM in the Funeral Home, www.firtionadams.com
