Patricia H. (Howland) Hills

Patricia H. (Howland) Hills, 86, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Edgar and Imelda (Gahan) Howland and was a graduate of Huntington High School. After graduation, she went to work for Wilcox Insurance as an insurance clerk. In 1964, Patty started to work for Noble Hospital and retired as an executive secretary after 50 years. She would still work part-time at Noble Hospital after she retired. Patty was a member of the Son’s of Erin Auxiliary in Westfield and was the 1999 Woman of the Year, a member of the Slovak Citizen’s Club and a longtime member of the Church of Atonement. Sadly, Patty was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard T. Hills, her brothers, Edgar, Donald, Paul and Robert and a granddaughter Sarah Canterbury. She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly (Diamond) Mayhew Clapp of Westfield, Robin (Diamond) Westlund and her husband John of Centerville, MA, her two step daughters, Denise Hills- McGarry of Southwick and Patricia Garlo and her husband James of Westfield, her sister Lynda Hartmann of Santa Fe, Texas, her cherished eight grandchildren, Robert, Jamie, John, Timmy, Meghan, Karly, Rebecca and Matt and twelve great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 10AM in the Church of Atonement, 36 Court ST. Westfield, burial will be private. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 4-7 PM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
