Patricia Richardson, 78, of Westfield, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2026. She was born on December 11, 1947, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Zapert) Dopico.

Patricia was a graduate of Westfield High School and continued her education at Westfield State College, where she earned her master’s degree. She devoted her professional life to education, working as a teacher at Juniper Park School. She was also a parishioner of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. Patricia enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, artificial floral designs, and most of all her family.

Patricia leaves her husband of 57 years, James Richardson of Westfield; her son, Kevin Richardson of Westfield; and her daughters, Erica Arooth and her husband John of Westfield, and Megan Bercume and her husband Allen of Charlton. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Caitlyn, Marshall, Mallory, and Madeline, whom she was extremely proud of.

The funeral for Patricia will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, Westfield. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in Our Lady of The Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield.
