Patricia “Pat” (Saidak) Jasmin, 85, passed away on May 24, 2026, in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Patricia was born on June 10, 1940, in Westfield, Massachusetts, to Peter and Julia (Miezejewski) Saidak. On February 10, 1962, she married George “Jake” Jasmin.

Patricia was the proud mother of four beloved children: George “Jake” Jasmin Jr., Gary Jasmin, Gail (Andrew) Urban of Westfield MA, and Guy (Linda) Jasmin of Bourbonnais, IL. She took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments, as well as in those of her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kayla Jasmin; Hayden Jasmin (Katie Clark); Nathan (Anna) Urban; Natalie (Bryan) Forbes; Tyler Jasmin (Brooke Anthony); Jackson Jasmin (Andi Entwhistle); and Andrew Jasmin; and by her great-grandson, Andrew Urban. She also shared a special bond with her niece, Michelle (Everett) Bormet, and was dearly loved by many extended family members and in-laws in both Massachusetts and Illinois.

Patricia spent many years working as a machinist in Holyoke, Massachusetts, before retiring. Later in life, she became an honorary Illinoian when she moved to Bourbonnais to be closer to Guy and Linda. Known affectionately as “Pat” to family and friends, she had a spirited personality, a sharp sense of humor, and a fiercely independent spirit. She loved the freedom of doing things on her own schedule and found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Over the years, Pat enjoyed candlestick bowling, feeding the birds and squirrels, and autumn drives through New England, often stopping at roadside farm stands for fresh corn and fruit. She also loved attending her children’s cookouts, coffee-flavored ice cream, traveling — especially to Florida and Maine with family and friends — completing nightly crossword puzzles, playing Keno, and trying her luck with the lottery. Pat was a devoted fan of General Hospital, rarely missed a Lifetime movie, and often stayed up to watch Jimmy Fallon — but only when he had guests she thought were worth watching.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George “Jake” Jasmin, and her sons, George “Jake” Jasmin Jr. and Gary Jasmin.

She deeply missed her husband and sons and cherished the family and memories that remained close to her heart.

A memorial gathering celebrating Patricia’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home in Westfield, Massachusetts, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
