Paul D Schwartz

Paul D. Schwartz, 74, passed away on April 17, 2026 at home in Hubbardston. He was born in Northampton to the late Daniel and Shirley (Tacy) Schwartz and was a 1971 graduate of Amherst High School. Paul was a very proud American and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1970-1974. He was employed as a police officer for the Town of Templeton for 32 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant. He enjoyed playing golf, was a marathon runner, enjoyed going to the gun range, was an avid reader and loved to travel to Mystic, CT.  Paul is survived by his long-time fiancé, Norma L Gaboriault of Manchester, NJ, his sisters, Martha Progulski of California and Maryanne Schwartz of Holland, MA, longtime friends Brian Rosengren and Sherrie O’Donnell, several nieces and nephews, Carol Nichols of Westfield, Jessica Progulske, Brittany Bolton, Adam Progulski of CA, Shelley Gonzales, Seth Daniels, CT and several great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Nicki. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 1PM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085 followed by Burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam.
