Pearl L (Cortis) Patino

Pearl L. Patino, 92, of Agawam died peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in East Longmeadow. She was born in the Woronoco section of Russell, Massachusetts, to Robert and Hildred (Palmer) Cortis and attended Westfield High School. She and her husband, Clifford, who pre-deceased her in 2014 after 62 years of marriage, were in the antique and collectibles business, Pearl’s Collectibles, for many years, participating in the Brimfield antique markets as well as many other antique shows, group shops, and flea markets. They were also locally famous for their tremendous twice-yearly tag sales on the front yard at their Main Street home. Pearl volunteered at Dakin Humane Society for nearly 15 years well into her late 80’s, where she set up their thrift store along with her daughter and several other volunteers. Pearl was the last of her generation, pre-deceased by her 7 siblings Edith, Stanley, Harold, Wally, Ralph, Chet and Lois, as well as her son, Gary, and granddaughter, Danielle. She is survived by her children, Joe and wife, Marty, of Texas and Massachusetts, Tom and wife, Vicki, of Florida and Virginia, daughter, Karen, of Agawam, and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Connecticut. She also leaves 10 grandchildren: Jason, Joshua, Kristy, Amy, Gary, Jessica, Kelly, Daryl, Kira, and Sarah, as well as 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are provided Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, Massachusetts. A wake will be held on Monday, August 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and funeral on Tuesday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Russell Cemetary.
