Philip Janisieski Obituary

Philip J. Janisieski (70) of Westfield, passed away on February 9, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Westfield, MA to the late Frank and Jennie (Golemo) Janisieski. He graduated from the manufacturing program at Westfield Vocational High School, and spent his career working for Advance Manufacturing, where he retired as a shift supervisor. Philip lived life to the fullest, from snowmobiling with his nephews, going to Riverside to watch his cousins race on Saturday nights, hunting and fishing with his brother Fran, watching stock car racing and spending time with his family, including going to the beagle club with his wife Sue on the weekends and going on vacation to Old Orchard Beach as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He loved going to breakfast on weekends with his family and celebrating holiday dinners. Philip was predeceased by his sisters Phyllis Stevens and her husband Keith and Arlene Bush and her husband William as well as his nephew Brian Janisieski. Philip is survived by his wife Susan A. Janisieski of Westfield, his daughter Rachael Brodeur and husband Chad of Westfield, son Adam Janisieski-Chacon and husband Starly of Salt Lake City, UT, step-daughter Jessica Tsukimara and husband Brian of New York, NY, his brother Francis Janisieski and partner Barbara of Westfield, and sister Beverly Walsh and husband Jeffrey of Griswold, CT. He leaves his grandchildren Owen and Maya Brodeur and Miles Tsukimara and his beloved dog Maggie. In addition, he leaves 13 nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, Kevin (Kathy) Janisieski, Kathy (Rich) Franklin, David (Dina) Janisieski, Michael (Holly) Janisieski, Steve (Beth) Janisieski, Sarah (Mike) Vella, Bill (Katie) Bush, Jason (Jill) Bush, Josh (Shawndy) Bush, Nicole (David) Rose, Andy (Jenny) Walsh, Nate (May) Walsh, and Laura (Kaden) Westbrook, as well as great nieces and nephews. Calling hours followed by a funeral home service will be held on Sunday 2/15/26 from 1-3pm at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St, Westfield, MA 01085.
