Phillip Chapman was born on June 30th 1940 in LaFollette, Tennessee. He lived in Massachusetts most of his life. He worked as a knife operator at several local paper companies including Brown and Strathmore. He was also a school bus driver for the city of Chicopee for 20+ years and loved every minute of it. He passed away Monday March 2nd at 6 am surrounded by those he loved. He left behind his wife Lucy Ellen Sherman Chapman, 2 daughters Louise Padilla of Massachusetts and Linda Heys of Ohio. He was a grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He loved car racing (he even was a race car driver in his 20's), coffee, and laughing. He always helped those in need when he could. His services will be held on March 7th from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street at from 10am to 11am for viewing followed by a Christian ceremony at 11am with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Please no black at the service it was his wish.
