Raymond A. Dionne, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 27, 2025 surrounded by family. Ray was born August 29th, 1959 in Westfield, Massachusetts, to the late Nelson and Jean (Ezold) Dionne.
Ray lived a life full of hard work and diverse interests. He worked as both a machinist and a truck driver. He found great joy in fishing(especially on the ocean), pheasant hunting; appreciated the simple pleasures in life such as cooking, sitting by outdoor fires, watching movies, listening to music and was well known for his love of “anything fast.” He always believed true fulfillment comes from spending time with loved ones.
Ray’s enthusiasm and creativity were on full display through his annual tradition of decorating his boat for the Hampton Ponds Fourth of July boat parade. In his younger years he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles and remained especially proud of his high school baseball accomplishments.
A kind and generous man, Ray was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a loving heart and a special affection for children, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Ray is survived by his three loving daughters, Melanie (Kevin) Jensen of Farmington, NY; Stephanie (Roger) Cole of Raleigh, NC; and Amanda J. Dionne of Rochester, NY; his brother, Robert (Karen) Dionne of Holyoke, MA
; and his seven cherished grandchildren: Mya Barnard, Ayden Renaud, Skye Barnard, Tristan Cole, Arianna Dionne, Layla Habberfield, and Noah Cole and his loving nephews, Cody Dionne and Tanner Dionne
Ray’s funeral will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM from Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
