Ricky D. Kvitek

Ricky Kvitek, 53, loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend and everyone’s favorite uncle by blood or chance, passed away on September 1, 2023 after battling cancer.

Ricky was born on May 26, the son of Wendy Harris (Will), Harold Kvitek (Lois pre-deceased).  He is survived by his sister’s Kim Plunkett and Susan Sheehan.  Niece and Nephews Sean Plunkett, Erin Plunkett, James Sheehan, and Julia Sheehan. Ricky was a lifelong resident of Westfield, graduating from Westfield High School in 1989.  He later received an associate’s degree from STCC. He was a machinist by trade and currently worked for EthosEnergy.

 Ricky, fondly known as Quazzy, never missed a chance to spend time with friends or family. He enjoyed going to fairs, demolition derbies, attending his beloved Thunderbird games, hiking, golf league, horse racing, playing the stock market and especially games of chance. Ricky leaves behind an enormous number of friends and family who loved him.

 A wake will take place on September 7 from 4-6:30 PM with a funeral home service to follow at 6:30 PM at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St, Westfield.  A memorial celebration will be held in the near future. www.firtionadams.com
