Robert Stanley Beman Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Stanley Beman Sr, who departed this life on November 1st, 2025 at the age of 83. Born on September 2nd, 1942 in Westfield, he was the beloved son of Don and Stasia Beman. Rob was a man filled with goodness, humor, intellect, passion, and perseverance. He was an avid reader, storyteller, die hard Yankee fan, and author of over ten books. Rob graduated with a Bachelor's from UMass and Master's from WNEC. He was a key contributor on his Westfield High baseball and basketball teams. Rob and Carole would enjoy many outings at one of their favorite destinations in Saratoga, NY where they would bet on the ponies and create many lasting memories. Rob was a devoted husband to his wife, Carole, for over 61 years. Rob called Carole his “sweet gift and “she never failed to make him feel like the luckiest man alive.” Rob was a loving father to his three daughters, Jennifer and her husband Jeff Zabielski, Rebecca and her husband Chris O’Brien, Leanne and her husband Denis Cloutier, and to his son Robbie and his wife Tobi. His love for his family was always in the forefront of his mind. Rob also cherished being a grandfather (Grampy) as he had 10 grandchildren, (Zabielski’s) Lucas and Evan, (O’Brien’s) Quinn, and Kendall, (Cloutier’s) Sydney, Samuel, and Spencer, and (Beman’s) Tyler, Jacob, and Hailey. He found immense joy spending time with them, sharing stories, and providing constant encouragement and love. Rob worked for Westvaco for over 42 years as an industrial engineer and manager, where he was known for his hard work, professional thoroughness, and quick wit. Rob was preceded in death by his fraternal twin brother Ron and his parents Don and Stasia. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 4-6pm with a service from 6-7pm at Firtion Adams in Westfield.
