Robert T DeMagistris

Southampton - Robert T. DeMagistris “Bobby-D”, died February 21, 2021 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Bob was born in Yonkers, NY, on November 27, 1951, to the late Benjamin and Ethel (Rieke) DeMagistris. He attended schools in Yonkers and was a 1969 graduate of Yonkers High School. Bob worked in the trucking industry with his family and independently. He was married in 1977 to Geralyn (Bean) in Old Bridge, NJ. He lived in West Springfield until 1995, before moving to Southampton. He was a charter fishing captain of the "Playin' Hooky" out of New London, CT for many years. Bobby was an avid golfer, playing at many local area golf courses and participating in many charity tournaments. He also enjoyed spending time and playing golf in Florida. He enjoyed time spent with his wife, along with their children and grandchildren. Bobby was the life of the party and loved to sing. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Geralyn (Bean) DeMagistris, two daughters, Kate DalPra and her husband Adam of Hartland, VT, Nicki Lamb and her husband, Josh, of Westfield, five grandchildren, Rosemary, Matilda, and Holly DalPra, Brock and Lorelai Lamb. He also leaves his brothers Benjamin of Florida, Danny and his wife Ellen of Southport, CT, his sister, Robin Calao of New Milford, CT, many nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law, Patricia Bean of Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 25th from 4-7 P.M. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 26th at 10:00 A.M., at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield, MA .
