Robert A Greene

Robert Allen Greene, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Baystate Medical Center.  He was born in Westfield to the late Richard Allen Greene and Germaine (Charbonneau) Greene.  He attended Westfield High School before joining the Army in 1959 and was in the Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard.  Known as “Bob” to most he worked at Sterling Radiator (now Mestek), Westfield State University, Food Mart, Camfour and Osley & Whitney.  Bob was a communicant of St. John's Lutheran Church in Westfield.  Bob had a love of woodworking, gardening, taking walks and watching military/war movies and books.  Bob is predeceased by his wife Margaret Ann (Scholpp) Greene of Westfield in 2017, and his brother Charles Greene of Oregon.  Bob is survived by his two children, Scott Greene of Westfield and Jennifer Neylon and her husband Kurt of Southampton and his four grandsons, Brandon Greene of Westfield and Avery Greene and his wife Emily of Feeding Hills and Aydan and Ethan Neylon of Southampton.  Bob also has many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.  Visiting hours will be held at Firtion Adams, 76 Broad Street Westfield, MA 01085 on Monday from 4-6:30 pm. with funeral services immediately following at 6:30 pm.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. www.firtionadams.com
