Chester-Robert Paul Richards, 80, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at home. He was born in Thompsonville CT on December 2, 1939 to the late Theopalus and Stella (Bowiek) Richards. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He grew up Thompsonville CT and graduated from Enfield High School and was a machinist for numerous years for different companies in the area. Robert was also a bus driver in the Enfield CT area. He has been a Lion for many years his titles included Past District Governor. He was President of the Huntington Lions Club numerous times. He was also Zone Chair, first and second Vice District Governor, and Council Chair. He was the director of Emergency Site and Hearing. He was the President of Eye Mobile, SPOT screening committee and past president of the Littleville Fair. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Patricia (Jordan) Richards. He leaves his wife Madelyn (Muise) Richards, his children Crystal and her husband Stephen Griffin, Steven Powers and his wife Kathleen and David Powers, grandchildren Stephanie Griffin and her fiancée Jared Hague, David Jr., John, Christina, Carolyn, Michael. He also leaves behind Steven Muise and children Erik and Karla, his sister Phyllis Hyer. He was pre-deceased by Edward Richards and Mark Muise. The funeral and burial will be private.
