Ronald H Egleston

Westfield-Ronald H. Egleston, 81, beloved father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at home Friday, surrounded by his loving family. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 40 years Emma Lee in 2014 and James in 2019. He leaves behind three children Pam, Craig and Samantha. Ron graduated from Westfield Trade School in the Electrical Dept. and then served in the Air National Guard. He worked as an electrician for a variety of local manufacturing facilities. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman which led him into volunteering for many 3-D shoots. His true passion was riding his motorcycle which he rode for over 100,000 miles he fondly called “The Blue Goose”. After retirement he truly enjoyed more time with family and enjoyed more time at home watching his feathered friends that would visit his hand made bird feeders. The family would like to express gratitude for all care givers that were involved in his care. Calling hours will be held on Monday October 18th from 5-7 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A service will follow at 7 pm. The burial will be private.
