Ronald D. Knowlton

Ronald D. Knowlton, 87 of Huntington, MA, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Wilbraham Ma. He was a lifetime resident of Huntington where he was born on May 15, 1934 to Fredrick R. Knowlton and Flora (Cornellier) Knowlton. He went to Huntington schools and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was employed for 40+ years at Strathmore Paper Company in Russell, MA. He was a 40+ year member of the Huntington Fire Dept. He was in the Army from 1957-1959 serving in France. He enjoyed Hiking, Camping, Canoeing and spending time outdoors. He was predeceased by his loving wife Diane (Bingham) Knowlton, his Brother Fredrick Knowlton and Sister Doris (Knowlton) Hollyer. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Hurwitz of Wilbraham, Charles Knowlton of Huntington, Mathieu Knowlton of Pittsfield, and Susan Hannah of Warren. His grandchildren Justin Hurwitz, Samantha Knowlton, Darion, Hannah, Laura Knowlton, Nathaniel Knowlton, Grace Hannah, and Emily Hannah. There are no calling hours and services will be private and held at a later date. Arrangements are being taken care of by Firtion Adams Funeral Home in Westfield, MA.
