Ronald J. Waversak, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Westfield to the late Francis and Leocadia “Cleo” (Wierminski) Waversak. Ronald worked for 35 years for Micro Abrasives Corporation as a mill operator, retiring on March 12, 2004. Since he was 16 years old, Ronald loved to build model cars and he was a diehard Boston Celtics fan. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 58 ½ years, Sandra J. (Popkiewicz) Waversak of Westfield, his two loving children, Tammi B. Waversak of Las Vegas, NV and Chad M. Waversak and his wife Kim of Farmington, Maine, his cherished grandchildren, Phoenix, Kelia and Ariana, his wife’s sisters and brother, Sally (Tom) Templeton of Westfield, Judy (Ed) Matyseck of Westfield and Frank “Buddy” (Eileen) Popkiewicz of Whatley, MA, several nieces and nephews and his grand dogs, Memphis and Mia. He was pre-deceased by his brother Philip Waversak. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the funeral service from 9-11 AM in the funeral home.
