Rosanna Iacovelli 81, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at Winterberry Heights Assisted Living in Bangor Maine, after a lengthy battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease on November 17th, 2021. She was born in Clinton MA to Giovanni and Santina (Negro) Valentino. She was the youngest of three children. She was a 1958 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School in Holden MA. After graduating she applied her love of fashion, style and creativity by studying cosmetology. She worked as a beautician for many years. She also worked for many years as a teacher’s aide for children with learning disabilities. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Iacovelli, and brother John Valentino, Carlton Whitney (brother in law) and Wade L. Harper (son in law). She will be dearly missed by Robert Iacovelli (son), Lorie Iacovelli (daughter in law), Douglas, Justin, Matthew (grandsons), Robert W Iacovelli (great grandson) Lynn Harper (daughter), Jacob and Joshua Harper (grandsons) and Kiera Harper (granddaughter). Anita Whitney (sister), nieces Donna Manual (and husband James), Lisa Smith (and husband Rusty), nephews Paul Valentino and James Whitney, many cousins and friends. Rosanna will be remembered as fun, vivacious, courageous, tenacious and caring of those she held dear. She had an eye for beauty and was a talented artist. She loved long walks, socializing with friends and family, gardening and travel. She was an active member in the COA of Hinsdale MA where she organized many trips for COA members. She volunteered as activity director for Hinsdale Country Road Co Op. She was an active member at St Agnes Catholic Church in Dalton MA. Calling hours will be Saturday at Firtion-Adams FS 76 Broad St. Westfield MA from 10am to 11:30 am, directly followed by Mass at 12 noon in Saint Mary's Church, Bartlett St., Westfield MA with graveside service to follow in St Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Huntington.
