Scott Atkins, born on February 9, 1971, in Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on March 16, 2025. Raised in Enfield, Connecticut, Scott brought joy and laughter to those around him with his unmistakable sense of humor and warm presence. A devoted son and father, Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother, Earlene Atkins, and his two daughters, Ashley Santiago and Amanda Atkins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Atkins. Scott had a passion for life on the road and found great fulfillment in driving big rigs across the country. His love for travel allowed him to see much of the world from behind the wheel. When not on the road, he enjoyed building models—a hobby that reflected his patience and attention to detail. Cooking was another of Scott’s great joys. He loved preparing meals for family and friends, often reminding them with a smile that they’d “better fill your grocery wholes.” His kitchen was a place of laughter, good food, and cherished memories. Those who knew Scott will remember his infectious humor and generous spirit. He had a unique way of making people laugh and feel at ease—qualities that will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
