Sharon Lee Powell-Pasay, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on August 9, 1949, to the late Everett and Mary Ann (Henthorne) Powell. Sharon attended local schools and graduated from Agawam High School and then later in life she worked hard to get her bachelors degree while making the deans list.. She worked for many years at Digital Equipment, Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard before retiring. Sharon was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and weaving, and she was very involved with her group at the senior center. She loved to make blankets that were donated to needy children. She also had a passion for her summer herb garden on the porch. It was her pride and joy. Most of all she deeply loved her family. Her family was her life. No matter how tough things got in her life she always managed to pull things together and move on. Her positive attitude was inspiring to everyone. She was an active and devoted member of Central Baptist Church in Westfield. To cherish her memory, she leaves her beloved husband, Michael Prus of Westfield; her son, Michael Pasay of Coventry, CT; and her cherished dog, Bailey. Sharon was predeceased by her son, Christopher John Pasay; her daughter, Dawne Ann Doherty; her brother, Jeffrey; and her sister, Violet.
