Shirley I. (O'Neil) O'Neil

Shirley I. O’Neil, 97, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Agawam Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Westfield to the late Raymond I. and Bertha M. (Deschamp) O’Neil. At a young age Shirley moved to Long Beach, California where she lived for many years before moving back to Westfield. She was employed as a general laborer for Sterling Press in Westfield and also when she lived in Long Beach, CA. One of Shirley’s favorite past times was playing Bingo. She is survived by her three nieces, Janet Ayotte of Sydney, Maine, Jeanne Ayotte of Parrish, Florida and Judy Rundell of Wake Forrest, NC, her nephew John Tarnauskas of Granville and many great nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-6PM in the funeral home. www.firtionadams.com
