Stanley W. Olechna, 99, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Holyoke Veterans Home. He was born in Westfield on February 16, 1927, to the late Stanislaw and Apolonia (Krupa) Olechna. Stanley was married for 52 years to his beloved wife, Jeannine M. (Lemire) Olechna, who passed away in 1999. He graduated from Westfield Trade School in 1945 as a machinist and began his career at Westfield Gage, where he later became a foreman. He then continued his career at Valley Gage, also serving as foreman. In 1976, Stanley founded his own company, Peerless Precision, Inc., in Agawam, MA, later relocating the business to Mainline Drive in Westfield. He was highly respected throughout the tool and machining industry by both his employees and peers. A proud World War II veteran, Stanley served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947, ending his service in Austria. He was also a longtime member of American Legion Post 124 in Westfield. Stanley was predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Leopold, and Adam Olechna, and by his sister, Veronica. He leaves his son, Richard Olechna and his wife, Bonnie Lee (Coach) Olechna of East Otis; his daughter, Linda Minarik and her husband, William, of Westfield; and his cherished grandchildren, Michelle Lee Radley and her husband, Jeffrey, of New York, Jennie Lynn Ventura and her husband, Joseph, of North Carolina, Joseph P. Coach of Blandford, Christopher M. Coach and his wife, Michelle, of Westfield, and William Minarik III and his wife, Yosehina, of Tolland, MA. He also leaves his beloved great-grandchildren, Meghan and Matthew Radley, Isabella and Nicholas Ventura, James and Elizabeth Coach of Westfield, and Jack Coach of West Springfield, MA and Rafael Minarik. Calling hours for Stanley will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 from 9–11 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A funeral home service will follow at 11 AM, with burial afterward in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield.
