Theresa A (Chmura) Lecrenski

In Loving Memory of Theresa Anne Lecrenski Westfield - Theresa Anne Lecrenski, 76 Years old, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024, in the comforting presence of her family. Born and raised in Westfield, MA, to the late Michael and Anna (Danek) Chmura on March 28, 1948, Theresa was a resident of Southwick for many years and a devoted communicant of Holy Trinity Church. Theresa held a bachelor’s degree from AIC and dedicated a portion of her career as a high school business teacher at Enrico Fermi High and Westfield High School. Her commitment to her community was evident in her service on the Southwick school committee for several years. Yet, the most fulfilling part of her career was serving as the President of Five Star Transportation where she worked alongside her beloved husband and children in their family business. Theresa’s life was filled with joy and adventure. She had a passion for baking, exercising, and traveling across every state in the US with her family, as well as exploring many other countries. She held dear the fond memories of the times spent with her family in the Berkshires and skiing at Jiminy Peak. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Her love for her family was immense, and she cherished the memories they made through traveling and spending time together. Theresa married Frank A. Lecrenski Jr. on July 10, 1971, at Holy Trinity Church in Westfield, MA. They shared 29 years of love and companionship until his passing in 2001. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately known as "Meemaw," a loving sister and a cherished friend. Theresa is predeceased by her husband Frank in 2001, daughter-in-law, Katerina Lecrenski, in 2007, her brother Michael Chmura Jr. in 2021, and her nephew Brian Chmura in 2022. Her legacy lives on through her daughter Katherine Czarnecki and her husband Kevin, her sons Darren Lecrenski and his girlfriend Kayla Case, Nathan Lecrenski and his wife Stephanie, and Stephen Lecrenski and his wife Nicole, her brother Philip Chmura and his wife Mary Lou, and her sister Ann Mary Boruchowski and her husband Peter. Theresa also leaves behind her eight beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Kirsten, Morgan, Grayson, Preston, Laiannie, Ania, and Aiden, as well as numerous extended family members. We would like to thank the caregivers at Westfield Gardens. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Funeral services will commence on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, followed by a service at Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm Street, Westfield, MA, at 10:30 A.M.
