Thomas E. LaPolice Obituary

Southwick, MA — Thomas Edward LaPolice, 64, formerly of Southwick, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at The Landing at Laurel Lake after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s disease.


Thomas devoted more than 25 years to his career as a Medical Technologist in Flow Cytometry at Baystate Health, where he was known for his dedication and professionalism. Outside of work, he found joy in running, watching movies, reading, and listening to music of all kinds. He especially cherished vacations with family and friends, creating memories that meant so much to him. Above all else, Thomas treasured the time he spent with his son, who was the center of his world.


Born on February 24, 1962, in Chicopee, he was the son of the late Theodore and Jean (Sztorc) LaPolice. He was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in medical technology from North Adams State College.


Thomas is survived by his beloved son, Kyle Thomas LaPolice and his fiancé Destiny Myette, his sister, Susan Bible and her husband David Bible. His nieces Casandra Johnson, Madison Rotella and Savannah Rotella. Nephews Jonathan LaPolice, Austin Rotella, Joseph Sclafani, Jarod Sclafani and CJ Sclafani. He will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends.


A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
