Thomas W. Lawson

Thomas W. Lawson, 90, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 peacefully at home. He was born in Westfield, MA to the late Marcus and Chrystel (George) Lawson. He attended Westfield schools, graduating from Westfield High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force before retiring from the Barnes 104 Fighter Wing in 1993. He also worked for the United States Postal Service in Westfield and West Springfield for 30 years before retiring in 1992. Thomas was an avid volunteer at the Westfield Council on Aging, United Methodist Church, Baystate Medical Center, and Civilian at Air National Guard 104th. He was a member of the American Legion Post 124, 104th Alumni Association, and Sampson Airforce Base Associations. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Carol of 62 years. He leaves his sons Karl I. Lawson of Westfield and Wade A. Lawson and his wife Robyn of Westfield. He also leaves his grandchildren Alena Kremer and husband Aaron, and Laurel MacBrian and husband Matthew. He leaves his greatgrandchildren, Evelyn and Grayson Kremer and Caroline MacBrian. Thomas also leaves his sister Chrystal Messenger. There will be a graveside service for Thomas on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 9AM in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. www.firtionadams.com
