Timothy Brady Obituary

Timothy Sean Brady, age 63, passed on peacefully at home on October 30, 2020, surrounded by his family, friends, and the big love that he cultivated throughout his life.

Born in the hill towns of Western Mass, Tim knew the woods and swimming holes there like the back of his callused hand. He was a self-employed carpenter, which for him was more so a way of life than it was a job. When you needed something repaired, replaced, built up, or torn down, he was your dude. Tim tinkered and putzed around with the best of them. From the old tree fort, to the fire pit, to the patio, he made his home the space in which to gather. Mr. Brady’s happy place was poolside with the sun shining, the tunes on, the Sam Summer flowing, and his people by his side to solve all the world’s problems. He loved going to the beach and had a collection of sand from all over the globe. Tim got a kick out of trips with the guys to Lime Rock and cruising top down in the Miata with his darling bride. He relished in his role as Grandpa and decorated his beloved garage with artwork from his grandkids. He left no dog’s cheeks unpinched and his cats, George and Miss Daisy, miss him already. His door was always open and he always left the light on, bringing people together in a way that the world needs more of simply by being himself. Without a doubt, Tim’s greatest accomplishment was raising his three children, and he never missed an opportunity to recognize how proud he was of who they each became.

Tim’s parents, Jeraldine and Joseph Olinski, along with four brothers went before him. He remains in the hearts of his wife, Alison Frary; his hubba, Shanna Brady; his sons, Sean and Timothy Brady; his step-daughter, Alivia Strolis; his daughter-in-law, Katie Brady; his grandchildren, Seamus and Piper; his siblings and their spouses, Gary Brady, Rich and Laura Brady, Jeep and Lorraine Brady, Kenny and Deb Olinski, Karen and Dave Smith; and too many nieces and nephews to count, but not too many to love as individuals. Very special gratitude to The Gang, who unwaveringly provide love and support for one another. Your friendship is a true gift, let’s keep the laughter rolling.

The calling hours for Timothy will be held Sunday November 8th from 12-2 PM followed by a service at 2PM in the Firtion- Adams Funeral Service 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will be private. For those that are able attend, the service will be live streamed at 2PM at https://my.gather.app/remember/timothy-brady . In lieu of flowers, Tim would have preferred for you to grab breakfast with a friend, keep flashing the peace sign, and help your neighbor in need.
