Timothy Hallenbeck Obituary

Timothy Mark Hallenbeck of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away in Palmer, Massachusetts on April 16, 2026. He was born on April 18, 1957, at Bellevue Maternity Hospital and grew up in Rotterdam, New York, to Kenneth Hallenbeck and Doris Hallenbeck. He attended Draper High School, where he enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the trumpet in the marching band, and competing on the wrestling team. He later attended Hudson Valley Community College and continued his education at Siena College, where he received his degree in accounting. His adventurous spirit led him to California, where he worked for many years as an accountant. He was also a proud veteran. Timothy was a loving and caring father, brother, and uncle. He had a deep passion for mathematics and a natural curiosity about the world. He found joy in spending time with people and forming genuine connections with those around him. He also loved animals and the outdoors, and had a strong appreciation for music and movies. He had many friends throughout Westfield and was well known for his warm and approachable nature. Timothy was a prostate cancer survivor and faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience. He recently passed after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his son, Timothy Hallenbeck II; his brothers, David (Regis) Hallenbeck and Paul (Paula) Hallenbeck; his sisters, Kathleen (John) Walsh and Elizabeth Wiseman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Allen Hallenbeck and Warren Hallenbeck. Timothy will be remembered for his kindness, his thoughtful nature, and the genuine way he cared for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. www.firtionadams.com
