Tony L Bennett

Tony Bennett left this mortal coil on August 22, 2026 after a long battle with substance abuse disorder.  Born and raised in Westfield, he was the son of Bill and Alice Bennett.

Known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, he leaves behind a trail of laughter

Tony was a skilled carpenter and builder. Creating hand-crafted furniture, toys, games, and sculpture was his passion.  He possessed an insatiable thirst for knowledge, with special interest in history and the natural world.  He was known for his elaborate Halloween decorations, designed to delight, and sometimes terrify, passers-by.

Tony was an avid, and occasionally, a fanatical Patriots fan.  He also enjoyed ice fishing, had a keen eye for interesting antiques, and was a fierce opponent in chess.

He leaves his wife Maria Bennett and daughter Marisa Bennett, his brothers Andrew Bennett and his wife Michele, Chris Hartman and his wife Pat, Tom Hartman, sister Donna Santarilli and her husband Rick, and sister-in-law Jennifer Hartman, wife of his late brother Steven Hartman.  Tony leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Bill Bennett.

There will be visiting hours for Tony at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 PM
